I am a Clinical Psychologist with 21 years of experience in private practice working with children and their families.
I specialize in children of any age with emotional and behavioural problems and works closely with the family as the child is part of an inter-dependant unit. I also work therapeutically with adolescents and adults on a long term basis.
My practice has a well-equipped play room and I am trained in a variety of intervention methods dealing with children of any age.

JUNGIAN ANALYST
MARITA DE WET
M.A. Counselling Psychologist (UJ)
I am a Jungian Analyst and Counselling Psychologist registered with both the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP) in Zurich and with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Leaving school I had the ambition to become a teacher and in pursuit of this goal completed a B.Sc. (Mathematics, Physics) and a post graduate teachers diploma at Potchefstoom University (now North West University). Thereafter I joined the budding Information Technology world, pursued a B.Sc. Hons. (Information Technology) with Unisa and was employed as Systems Engineer in IBM from 1980 onwards.
Over time, I came to realize the central place of relationships in our lives and developed a keen interest in human development, the development of qualities such as resilience and pursued further studies in psychology.
Although I did not consciously plan to change careers and become a psychologist, I found the studies so enriching, enlightening and deeply meaningful that I continued on the journey, I completed a M.A. (Counselling Psychology) at Rand Afrikaans University (now University of Johannesburg) and registered as a Counselling Psychologist in 1992. Thereafter, I was in private practice in Boksburg, Gauteng, I consulted with corporations, especially leadership development programs, and presented group therapy programs at the psychiatric clinic. In 2010, I started a four-year post graduate diploma in Analytical Psychology (depth psychology).
This intense course prepared me for in-depth work with individual adults. My field of interest is broadly overcoming the wounding of our past so that it does not determine our future. I relocated to Paarl three years ago, started a private practice and joined Paarl Practice in 2017.
I am an active member of the South African Association for Analytical Psychology (SAAJA) where I serve on the Public Programme, Curriculum and Library committees.

JEANNIE MOUTON
M.A (Clinical Psychology)
I obtained a masters degree in clinical psychology from the University of Stellenbosch. I have worked in private practice for 15 years and am registered with the HPCSA, PsySSA and am an associate member of SACNA (South African Clinical Neuropsychological Association).
Every person deserves to live his or her life to its full potential. Reaching that potential in oneself, relationships with others or one’s career path, can be blocked by circumstances, life challenges and the impact of those on our mood state, self-worth and the way we see, feel and think about ourselves.
Emotional wellness has an enormous impact on the quality of our lives and I passionately believe it deserves as much attention as our physical well-being. I strive to assist people to reach their life’s full potential.
I work with adults, adolescents, children above the age of 7, couples and families. I also work with post-divorce couples who are motivated to heal for optimal co-parenting. I use therapy relevant to the individual, couple or family’s need and the presenting challenges.
